A brief set of guidelines for the Pineapster forums, expanding on http://www.pineapster.co.uk/legal.html.
1. Treat other forum members in the manner that you would like them to treat you. Please refrain from racist, sexist, cruel or hateful content directed to another user. This includes content in Private Messages (PMs).
2. No Spam. Spam includes:
- Multiple posts that say the same thing. These will be deleted by the moderators.
- Starting multiple topics about the same thing.
- Advertising products or services without prior permission. Obviously this does not include the advertising of gigs, or private agreements between forum members on the Wanted/For Sale board.
3. Please do not post content that is "Not Safe For Work" (NSFW) directly on the forum. If you feel you must show your friends "this great new rude joke," please post a link to the website or image, and mark it clearly with "NSFW."
This will allow other users to decide whether or not they want to look at it.
- NSFW items are those that are, or could be construed as pornographic or obscene. Lots of employers take a dim view of people looking at porn at work, and we don't want anybody to get into trouble.
4. Do not post the personal infomation of another user on the board.
This can include.
- Phone Numbers
- Email Addresses
- Home or work addresses
You may post your own personal infomation on the board but we would advise against it. If you need to give someone a phone number or address, we suggest making use of the PM facility.
5. You will not post anything that is considered to be potentially criminal. The posting of computer viruses, child pornography, or links to computer viruses or child pornography is prohibited. Posts made under circumstances indicating a considered likelihood of inciting a violent or felonious act, or a subjective intention or knowledge that its content will be used for, or in furtherance of, any criminal purpose are also prohibited. Such posts will be moved offline and referred to proper legal channels.
6. We reserve the right to remove your uploads and contributions at any time and for whatever reason we see fit. We also reserve the right to expand these rules as necessary to protect ourselves from civil and criminal liability. Any such expansion will be clearly announced and will not serve as the justification for a post hoc administrative action.
