CONVOLUTION ROOMS battle of the bands

were sorting out a midlands battle of the bands in the next couple of months.

prizes are still getting finalised but will include

-free recording studio session
-free photo shoot
-free web design / myspace design
-free promo video shoot and live recording
-free 5 day tour round the UK with free transport / accomodation
-Sound Control gift vouchers

plus more to be announced. the prize is looking like it may total well over £5,000

bands will be divided into 4 loose catagories
-punk/ska/hardcore
-indie/blues
-metal
-the others (soundsystems, drum n bass, hiphop, ragga, electro - whatever pops up)

likely to be held at the Charlotte, each category will support a large band of their genre so that there will (hopefully) be large crowds to play to. The four winning bands from their heats will play a grand final and one will win the prize. if two bands are really good then bollocks to it, they both win it!

if anyone is interested we've started receiving demos and we're investing a lot in this to make it a success.... all judging will involve independent secret judges so we are not accused of rigging it...its not about that
