hi everybody, only just signed up with pineapster so not quite sure how it all works, looking to start an amazing melodic rock/ punk rock/ band need drummer, bassist, guitarist and good vocals for backing and some lead singing (possibly most of the singing). I have a few songs uploaded on pineapster.com that you can listen to or have a look at www.myspace.com/chapmanproject contact me if your interested.

history if your interested- I played in a punk rock band down in poole for about a year and a half but we split up last year, so I moved back home to lufbra. since I moved back up here I've been working on my own material and did an evening course in recording, I've been writing and recording all the parts trying to find a sound that I'm happy with, pretty pleased with the songs I've done and now looking to start a new band for gigs, recording, and accidental world domination really want to play in a profession sounding band and see how far we could take this music thing, I’m 25 and would like to put all my energy into this project before I do something daft like get myself a career. I've been writing consistently for last 3 years and have songs coming out my ears, looking for semi-professionals who are chilled out, easy to work with, and who can jam and improvise. Inspired by lots of different bands and styles, contact me.

welcome!

i always jump in and say that we are organising regular all-stars gigs in leicester where we get local musicians together to perform covers of some of their favorite songs... its a very good way for new members to get to meet the rest of the gang, and put real names and faces to avatars

The next one is at firebug in Leicester on Dec 14th

good luck with your quest.

Welcome!

Not being funny here Robin, but if you need a drummer, bassist, guitarist and vocals (for 'possibly most of the singing'), where does that leave you? Or are you one of the Brian Wilson, behind-the-scenes genius types?

well yes reading it back does make me wonder myself what i would actually be doing, to be honest i haven't quite decided, mostly i'm a songwriter/guitarist, i'm quite happy to sing when i perform but the jury is out on whether my voice is good enough for my songs, generally people have liked my stuff despite my singing, but i have been having lessons and getting better so i don't know, i'm just waiting to see who i meet, if i got a good singer then i could be the main guitarist, or even play bass since their so hard to find, i'm pretty open minded at the moment just want to start jamming again.

Hey! I'd attend if I didn't have a shed load of previous commitments. New house, new baby, turns out a new central heating system to attend to, all of which come ahead of another firebug gig regardless of how spot on chop suey is likely to be. I'm there in spirit chaps.
