Post subject: Fringe Festival Warm Up Parties and Tickets.

So amongst the tirade of ssw posts. heres the news on the warm up parties.
last year we ran a one off in firebug, it was a sell out success.
this year we have 4 parties, all on the same night. Thursday 9th August 2007. as follows :
Charlotte : The displacements + 2 supports (14+ event)
Firebug : Dirty Backbeats, Fatal Star, Redcarsgofaster + 1 more
Dj's : the falling leaves
Special guest (& part hopeful compere) : Dave Bartram from Showaddywaddy
(18+ event)

Tickets will hopefully be for sale by the weekend. They will be only £1 each.
They should be on sale by the end of the week at DMH, Firebug, the musician and hopefully HMV and virgin (if they agree to it).
They will only be £1 each. on the night, venues will exchange tickets for a wristband. this wristband will allow access to all and each of the parties. so you could go to the comedy tent, then the charlotte, then firebug, etc (all subject to venue capacities).
The comedy tent kicks off at 7pm. Firebug will close at 4am.
the arts council has kindly given us a large cheque. however, we at pineapster also had to contribute some monies, and we've done this through ticket sales. so if we dont sell all £1100 tickets, we have to pay the difference pack.
So erm, we need to sell out. Who's coming, even if you just want to see a leicester comedy festival gig (featuring people from the edinburgh festival) for only £1........
scott capurro is a perrier comedy award winner and recent star of never mind the buzzcocks. i believe he's also appearing at the edinburgh festival.

Only a fuckwit wouldn't take advantage of it. I always thought there were quite a few fuckwits on Pineapster... prove me wrong.
