'bauhaus' is quite an impressive one for such a quite-hidden county, I'd say...!

the white elephant is in Kingsthorpe isn't it? the one that used to be the kingsley park tavern? it was the white elephant before that, I know.

you missed out prayer machine, they were ace. REM meets Husker Du.

I remember sick on the bus, they used to be ok, if I recall correctly.

Yeah I think you're right, between the ages of 9-12 (1991-1994) I played football for Kingsley Spartak FC and i remember it being the KPT. I got called 'long-haired fairy' as I walked past once. I was ten! I didn't even have particularly long hair. I'd take a beating if they saw me now.

Incidentally (if reffering to the actual theme of the post is incidental), Kapowski have split up, some of the members now comprise the more interesting New Cassettes.

The All New Adventures Of Us (TANAOU) are also from Northampton.

Not sure if Atlantic Dash are still going, what with having the almost exact same lineup as Kapowski did and The New Cassettes do.

Nice one guys and lasses... I think I'll look into some of these on MySpace. Northant's has always been a black hole in the context of music, for me. I just wanted to dispell the fear and find out what's gone on and of course 'What's going on' down there.

Have a look for the Buzz club/Dr Robert on myspace. Check the falling leaves myspace for a comment somewhere along the lines from them. They run a band night every other Friday at the Saundhaus.
